Black Sabbath is the band from the UK which is considered as one of the founder of the heavy metal music. They have experienced the many changes of personnel so that at one time only Iommi remained of initial formation.

Personnel

  • Tony Iommi - guitar, flute, keyboards (1968 - present)
  • Ozzy Osbourne - vocals, harmonica (1968-1979, 1997 - present)
  • Geezer Butler - bass (1968-1984, 1991-1994, 1997 - present)

Black Sabbath also has several times held a reunion with former members, both on stage and in the recording studio. Currently, their status is a vacuum, with each member to concentrate on a solo career.

Black Sabbath's music is the forerunner of the birth of thrash metal, doom metal, death metal, gothic metal, and the like. Games guitarist, Tommy lommi, also christened as laying metal riffs that have affected hundreds, thousands, even millions of guitarists in the world. Meanwhile, Ozzy Osbourne, the singer also earned the nickname "The Godfather of Metal" and has not been replaced to date (I think it will never).

John Michael Osbourne, better known as Ozzy Osbourne (born in Aston, Birmingham, West Midlands, England, December 3, 1948, age 61 years), is a British singer. He was the lead singer of heavy metal band Black Sabbath famous in the 1970's.
